What are endocrine disruptors?
Endocrine disruptors are chemicals and compounds that can interfere with hormones which are part of the endocrine system. Endocrine disruptors mimic hormones and bind to receptor sites which can have a negative impact on the body. Certain cancers, infertility, and metabolic disorders are often associated with endocrine disruptors. Xenoestrogens is just one example of an endocrine disruptor that mimics estrogen in the body which can have significant negative effects.
